Venessa Miemis is a social technologies researcher and artist, exploring the edges of communication, co-creation, and commerce in a network society. Her recent projects include The Future of Facebook, a 6 part video series, and Open Foresight, a methodology for engaging experts and the public to create collaborative visions of the future together.
Her Future of Money project was picked up picked up by The Huffington Post and Fast Company and the meme “Future of Money” is now found in online channels where people are interested in this subject. She also writes a column for Forbes online and authors her own widely-followed blog, Emergent by Design. Venessa earned a Masters in Media Studies at the New School in NYC, and is a principal organizer with Douglas Rushkoff for the Contact Conference.
